Soapbox Derby 2021 Feedback

We would like to thank all the spectators and each one of the teams for turning out in huge numbers for making the second Newmarket Soapbox Derby a success. We want to tell you that we are extremely thankful for your support and participation because no event can be a success without its participants.
We would also like to congratulate the winning teams ’Automotive Sporting Heritage’’ and ‘’Trotters Independent Trading Co (The TITS).
Winning and losing are secondary, participation is what matters most.
A massive thank you to our amazing sponsors and a big shoutout to Jockey Club Estates. Without their contribution, the Soapbox would not have been possible!
If you can spare a couple of minutes, we would love to hear your thoughts on the event in order to better understand how we can improve in 2022 and enjoy the event to the fullest.
The total donation amount toward the nominated charities will be announced very soon.

Meet the Newmarket Soapbox Judges

With race day rapidly approaching, we wanted to introduce our panel of local judges.

The mayor Michael Jefferys will record the speed, Cllr John Borda the mechanical design and last but not least Tracey Harding from Discover Newmarket will judge the showmanship and looks of the karts.

Our judges will have the difficult task to decide the fate of our brave soapbox competitors and determine the top three finishers. Apart from the trophy, all winners will receive a gift voucher.
